Fiat Driver Airlifted to Hospital After Crashing Under 18-Wheeler Truck

The driver of a Fiat convertible was transported to a hospital by helicopter near Southaven, Mississippi last week after crashing his car underneath an 18-wheeler truck.

According to Southaven Police, the crash took place at about 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Getwell and Goodman road in Southaven. The Fiat was headed west on Goodman when it turned left in front of an eastbound Fed-Ex 18-wheeler.

Investigators stated that the light was yellow when both vehicles entered the intersection.

The condition of the Fiat driver was not known at the last time of reporting. It does not appear that anybody else was injured in the crash.
