One person was killed Sunday morning and 5 others seriously injured during a single car crash in Glens Falls, New York.

According to police, the driver of a Toyota Highlander fell asleep while on the Northway interstate, causing the vehicle to veer off the left side of the road. The car then maneuvered back onto the road, but flipped several times.

One person was thrown from the vehicle and was killed. The driver and the other passengers survived and were assisted at the scene by emergency services. Four of the passengers were treated for minor injuries after being transported by EMS to Saratoga Hospital. The incident is the second fatality within 4 days, after State Trooper Timothy Pratt was struck and killed well helping a lost motorist.
