An accident took place in Katy, Texas early this morning when the driver of an 18-wheeler truck fell asleep at the wheel and flipped the truck.
After losing control of the truck, the cab and trailer both crashed into a guard rail on the shoulder of the road, at Katy Freeway and FM 1463. The driver was fortunately uninjured. TXDOT had crews cleaning up the scene of the accident, and a portion of the highway was shut down for several hours.
Thankfully there were no other vehicles involved in the accident, or injuries to any other drivers or pedestrians.
