An 18-year-old was killed early Monday when the car he was in crashed into an 18-wheeler. The incident occurred on US Highway 59 near George West Street in Corpus Christi, Texas.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver of the 18-wheeler had driven in the wrong direction and decided to make a U-turn on the highway. While making this turn, a car struck the trailer of the 18-wheeler.
There were reportedly two people inside the car. The 18-year-old male passenger of the car was killed in the collision. The driver of the car and the driver of the 18-wheeler were both hospitalized. The severity of their injuries is not known, as a police report has not officially released. The name of the deceased 18-year-old has also been withheld.
