Two people were killed late Sunday when their vehicle crashed into a tractor-trailer truck on the New Jersey Turnpike.
The wreck took place in Teaneck, New Jersey on the turnpike near Exit 70. The wreck occurred when a tractor-trailer crashed into a Nissan Altima. Both the driver and passenger in the Altima were killed at the scene. They have not yet been identified.
Officials have not stated whether icy roads factored in as a cause of the wreck.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured in the crash.
Traffic on the northbound part of the turnpike experienced significant delays due to the wreck.
