Alcohol And Speed Contribute To Fatal Car Crash

Gabriel Lopez, 38, of El Paso, was killed this morning in a single car accident early this morning. Mr. Lopez lost control of his car and slid into the center barrier before crossing all lanes of traffic and crashing into another barrier. His car then rolled over, ejecting Mr. Lopez from the vehicle. Mr. Lopez was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. The police have determined that speed and alcohol contributed to the accident. This accident marks the 20th fatal accident in El Paso this year.
