An Austin car accident involving a pedestrian left one person dead early this morning, Austin police officers are reporting. Police officers say that a 911 call was received from the driver an SUV at approximately 6:45 reporting that he struck pedestrian that ‘stepped out into their lane.” The pedestrian accident happened at East Dessau Lane and Braker road. It was originally thought that an 18-wheeler was involved in, the accident, but police have determined that the SUV was the only car involved. Police are unsure why the pedestrian walked into traffic. The undisclosed pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
