Austin Police Make Arrest In Fatal Pedestrian Hit And Run

A legislative aide to East Texas Representative Wayne Christian was arrested by the Austin Police Department and charged with failure to stop and render aid, which is a third degree felony, following a fatal hit and run accident. The victim, Courtney Paige Griffen, was found deceased in a driveway near the 1600 block of Exposition Boulevard in the Austin community of Tarrytown. The trail led to Ms. Gabrielle Jane Nestande after an anonymous tip led Austin police officers to a black BMW with a smashed windshield parked a short distance from the scene of the accident.
