38-year-old Bruce Harris died Thursday after being involved in a car crash in the Dallas area.
According to police, Harris and an unidentified 36-year-old male passenger were in a disabled vehicle on Central Expressway when they were struck from behind by a sedan. The crash caused the gas tank on Harris’s vehicle to catch fire.
Harris, his passenger, and the two occupants of the other sedan were all sent to Presbyterian Hospital by EMS for treatment. Harris succumbed to his injuries there.
Harris is the brother of Dallas Mavericks’ guard Devin Harris, who was informed of the crash early Thursday.
Reports indicate that there is no evidence of alcohol playing a role in this crash.
