Fiery 18-Wheeler Wreck Shuts Down Pennsylvania Turnpike

The Pennsylvania Turnpike was shut down between Route 8 and Route 28 Monday morning after a tractor-trailer hauling mail overturned and set on fire.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the incident took place at about 3:30 a.m. near Harmar, Pennsylvania. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and reports indicate that the truck driver escaped injury as well.

The eastbound portion of the highway was closed for cleanup of the accident until about 9 a.m.
