A 58-year-old man was killed early this morning his 18-wheeler crashed in San Marcos, Texas. The wreck occurred at about 1:30 a.m. off of Interstate 35.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety officials, it is believed that a car was driving head-on towards the 18-wheeler, and that the 18-wheeler driver swerved to avoid it and crashed, flipping the truck and killing the truck driver.
The driver of the truck has not been identified at this time. He was reportedly from Fort Worth, Texas.
The southbound lanes of I-35 were closed while an investigation was underway.
