Four motorcycle riders from the Dallas Fort Worth area were killed over the weekend in a car wreck near Canton, Texas. One automobile and two motorcycles were involved in the accident. Bruce Melvin Bricker and his wife Shannon Rhenee Bicker, of Highland Village, were on one motorcycle, and Steve Austin Claterbaugh, of Rowlett, and his girlfriend Kathleen Dolores Smith, of Wylie, were on the other motorcycle. The riders were tragically killed when Jose Pena, from Houston, swerved into the oncoming lane of traffic on Highway 19 striking the motorcycles. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, and exactly why Pena swerved into their lane is unknown. Mr. Pena is charged with criminally negligent homicide and is being held on $2 million bail.
