Henry Revere, 17, Killed in Tractor-Trailer Incident in Virginia

A high school student was killed Sunday evening after crashing into an 18-wheeler truck near Prince George, Virginia.

According to police officers, Henry Revere, 17, was driving westbound on James River Drive when he lost control of his car, drove off the road, overcorrected, and then came across the median line of the road, running into an eastbound 18-wheeler truck. Revere unfortunately died at the scene of the accident.

The large truck was hauling about 150 pigs in its trailer. According to police, 6 of those died after the crash. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.

Revere was a student at Monocan High School, and was a member of the school’s soccer team.

An investigation into the incident remains open at this time, as police try to determine exactly why Revere’s car originally lost control and ran off the road.
