Lovins Law Files Suit For Injured Oilfield Worker

The personal injury lawyers at Lovins Law have been retained by an oilfield worker injured while on the job site in Louisiana.  At the time of the injury, Plaintiff was part of a work crew lifting 32 foot long drilling pipe.  We allege in the lawsuit that Plaintiff was successfully lifting the pipe with a strap device, but the supervisor for Defendant’s company demanded that an elevator be used instead to speed up the process.  Our client complied with those wishes, but the lawsuit alleges that upon trying to use the elevator, the latch did not work properly, with the supervisor for Defendant personally witnessing the problems with the latch.  The suit goes on to  allege that the supervisor for Defendant  insisted that he proceed with the elevator without repairing the latch or providing any additional training on its proper use, and sure enough, one of the pipes fell from the elevator due to a latch failure, striking our client on his head.

The oilfield injury attorneys at Lovins Law  are seeking damages on behalf of the injured oilfield worker for past and future medical bills, pain and suffering due to his injuries, physical impairment, and lost wages.
