5 People Critically Injured in Bus-18-Wheeler Crash

An accident at Troy Highway and Taylor Road in Montgomery, Alabama resulted in 5 people being seriously injured.

While a cause of the accident has not been officially confirmed, the Montgomery Public Safety Communication Director stated that an 18-wheeler struck a car and pushed it into a school bus.

Five people were hurt in the wreck, including three teenagers. They were transported to a nearby hospital in serious but stable condition due to their injuries. None of the 20 students on the bus were injured, and only minor damage was reportedly done to the bus. The injured victims were passengers in the car that was sandwiched between the 18-wheeler and the bus.

Following the accident, the entire intersection was shut down for clean up and investigation. No charges have been reported at this time, and it is still unclear what caused the 18-wheeler to strike the passenger vehicle.
