Semi-Truck Driver Airlifted After Highway Wreck

A wreck yesterday on Interstate 5 in Chehalis, Washington between a semi-truck and two passenger cars resulted in the driver of the semi-truck being airlifted to a nearby hospital.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the truck was headed northbound on I-5 when it crossed over the median concrete barrier and rolled over into the opposite southbound lanes, striking the other cars.

Traffic was detoured for about six hours following the wreck, and reports state that a crane had to be called in to help remove the truck.

Reports did not state whether the drivers and passengers of the other two cars sustained any injuries.
