A 18-wheeler truck driver was killed last Thursday afternoon when he was involved in a collision with another 18-wheeler.
According to police, Alex Pritchard, 27, was driving his truck on Highway 87 when Rene Cruz, 34, pulled his truck out in front of him from County Road 2. Both trucks burst into flames immediately. The damage from the collision caused the road to be completely shut down for about 8 hours.
Pritchard was transported to University Medical Center for his injuries. Unfortunately, Cruz died on the scene.
Police have not yet issued an official report
