Robert Majka and Deborah Roberts Killed in Head-On Collision; 4 Others Injured

A man and woman were killed this weekend on St. George Island, Florida, when their cars were involved in a head-on collision. Robert Majka, 70, and Deborah Roberts, 53, were driving on the south end of the St. George Island Bridge, when according to police Mr. Majka crossed the center line and hit Deborah’s Ford Escape.

Both died from their injuries. 3 passengers in Majka’s car, Kathleen Majka, Kathryn Benner, and Edward Benner, were taken to local hospitals with serious injuries.

Suzanne Gelser, a passenger in Roberts’ car also sustained serious injuries.

Police have not yet released a report as to the direct cause of the wreck.
