Sandra Sarah Dunaway, 59, Killed After Hitting Tractor-Trailer Head-on

Early on Thursday morning Sandra Sarah Dunaway, 59, of Providence Forge, Virginia, was killed when her vehicle crashed into a tractor trailer truck.

According to James City County Police in Toano, Virginia, Dunaway was driving her 2003 Ford Taurus east on US Route 60/Richmond Road when she crossed over the median and ran straight into the 18-wheeler truck. The large truck had just turned onto Richmond Road from Industrial Boulevard. The wreck took place at about 7:45 a.m.

Police also stated that Dunaway did not appear to have been wearing her seat belt. The driver of the 18-wheeler, an unidentified 40-year-old, was uninjured in the crash.

At this time police have not reported what caused Dunaway’s car to cross over the median of the road into oncoming traffic.
