I recently posted about a dangerous stretch of road in Dallas where accidents frequently occur. It seems that Montgomery County, Texas has a more dangerous stretch of road with car accidents claiming five lives in the past eighteen months. The dangerous stretch of road is a curve on FM 1485 near Firetower Road. The latest fatal car accident occurred this Saturday at 5:30 p.m. when a Dodge Flatbed truck driven by Octavio Palacios crossed the center line at this curve and struck a Ford Explorer driven by Edy Pereira, who died at the scene of the accident. The passenger in the Ford Explorer, Maria Castilleja, and Mr. Palacios are in critical condition. The car wreck was so severe that he cab of the truck was ripped from the frame and the engine and transmission were in a ditch on the other side of the road.
