Two Injured in Tractor-Trailer Jackknife Incident

Two people were injured Monday afternoon in a scary incident involving a tractor-trailer and a Chevy Tahoe SUV.

The wreck took place just north of Atlanta, Georgia on northbound Interstate 75 where it meets Interstate 575.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the tractor-trailer was heading north when another vehicle cut it off, causing the driver to lose control and jackknife. The truck then struck the median highway divider, veered back across traffic, and ran into the northbound Chevy Tahoe on the other side of the road.

This wreck also caused another accident to take place in the ensuing chaos as vehicles scrambled to stop. Both the driver of the large commercial truck and a passenger in the second wreck were injured in the crashes. They were sent via EMS to nearby Kennestone Hospital.

It was not reported whether or not anybody inside the Chevy Tahoe was injured in this incident. Additionally, it has not been reported whether any drivers, particularly the driver of the vehicle that cut off the tractor-trailer, face charges.
