Willie Taylor, Janie Wilson Killed in Bibb County, Alabama 18-Wheeler Wreck

An accident took place Thursday evening near Centreville, Alabama that resulted in the death of a man and woman – Willie James Taylor, 44, and Janie Holt Wilson, 46. Both were from Uniontown, Alabama.

The crash took place at about 5:30 p.m. on Alabama State Highway 5, about six miles north of Centreville in Bibb County, Alabama.

According to Alabama State Troopers, three vehicles were involved in the wreck. Willie Taylor was reportedly driving a 2013 Kia Forte with Janie Wilson as the passenger. The Kia Forte collided into a 2012 Volvo 18-wheeler truck. Taylor and Wilson were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The third vehicle was a Chevy Camaro. The driver of the 18-wheeler, Kenneth Oneal Herbert, 29, was not seriously injured in the wreck. It was not reported whether the driver of the Camaro was injured.

Police have not yet stated exactly what caused the crash to occur, or whether any related charges will be filed.
