An unidentified woman somehow survived a three-vehicle accident last Friday in which her SUV ended up wedged underneath a big rig truck.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred when the woman’s vehicle struck a work truck and then bounced into a median wall on westbound Loop 202 in Chandler, Arizona. After striking the median, the woman lost control of her SUV. The SUV then crossed over the highway to the outside lane, where it struck the 18-wheeler and ended up stuck underneath the truck. The top of the SUV was partly torn off, and firefighters had to extract the woman.
DPS stated that the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and that no one else was injured in the wreck. At this time it is unclear what caused the initial collision. No report regarding the accident has been released.
